Smart Code is an integrated coding & identification solution for products and their transportation units (carton, pallets).

Smart Code allows printing of variable information onto products, packs, cartons and pallets. This data is important both for traceability and transportation/logistics purposes.

This information falls into two general categories:

(a) Traceability Information:

- expiry date
- production or packaging date
- shift code
- LOT number
- weight
- other information about the production process
...etc.

(b) Transportation/Logistics Information:

- customer name
- quantity
- content description
- issue date
- ship date
- other information about content and means of transportation
....etc.

Traceability information is printed onto primary (items), secondary (cartons) and tertiary (pallets) packaging. Transportation/Logistics information is mainly printed onto cartons and pallets. Smart Code includes methods and technologies that cover all your primary, secondary and tertiary coding needs.
